Quattrohaus clinches two championships at the final round of the NASA Atlantic Rally Cup. Thanks to these titles, Quattrohaus becomes the first team to enter and win championships in both car and motorcycle categories of the Atlantic Rally cup.
The Black River Stages Rally in Harrisville, NY was the venue for another dominant performance by Hampton Bridwell and Josh Katinger in the SVT Ford Focus. Hampton and Josh just needed to finish the rally in order to be crowned 2008 Rally Spec Focus champions. After a conservative start and some problems during the early part of the rally, the pair raised their game and came back to take the championship in style. At the end of the second day of racing they had won the class, therefore taking victories in every round of the championship during the 2008 season. In addition to the Rally Spec Focus championship, a 6th overall finish puts the team on the Bronze step of the podium in the Atlantic Rally Cup final overall standings. A very impressive result for a relativelly new team in a Production class car. Hamton, Josh and the Quattrohaus team now head to Rally New York, the final round of the United States Rally Championship to fight for the Production 2wd national championship.
The second championship to come home was won by Luis Figueiredo in the heavily contested Production 2 Rallymoto(R) class. A hard fought year long battle with Adventure Workshops KTM Rider Chris Herman saw the title go down to the final round. The pressure was on Chris as he came in to the last event 8 points behind Luis. He needed to finish well, and at least two positions ahead in order to challenge him for the title. Early problems for Chris and a consistent, calculated and steady ride by Luis saw the Quattrohaus man take the championship in his KTM.
Quattrohaus would like to congratulate all our teams, and thank all the event organizers in the Atlantic Raly Cup for a great championship season.
